Sophie’s new exhibition for Homotopia’s Queer Summer

Sophie’s new show ‘An ally is for life, not just for pride’ is an exhibition of NEW works focusing on the themes of pride, protest, and what it means to be an ally to the LGBTQ+ community. The exhibition features a collection of new works alongside commissioned pieces for Homotopia and LCR Pride Foundation, which have been displayed across the citys many billboard during pride.

As A queer trans woman, Sophie believes positive engagement and visibility matter and is actively involved in her community. You can read more about Sophie’s story and her work in this recent Liverpool Echo interview.

Sophie Green is a freelance artist working to commission, based in Liverpool with a studio and gallery in the deliciously creative hub of Merseymade on Paradise Street. As A queer trans woman, Sophie believes positive engagement and visibility matter and is actively involved in her community. Her artwork can also be seen on a number of billboards across the city spreading this importance message of visibility and safety in such a significant time for the LGBTQIA+ communities.

The exhibition runs between 15th August till Saturday 28th August 2021. Cass Art, School Lane, Liverpool (Map Below).
