Am bundesweiten Warntag sind Funktionen des neuen Warnsystems über DAB+ Radio, „Automatic Safety Alert (ASA)“, erstmals mit Vorseriengeräten der Marken TechniSat und Kenwood erfolgreich getestet worden. Insbesondere die Regionalisierung, das Aufwachen aus dem Geräte-Standby sowie die Umschaltung bei laufendem Radiobetrieb haben einwandfrei funktioniert. Damit positioniert sich DAB+ Radio als optimale Ergänzung im Warn-Mix, neben Cell Broadcast auf Mobiltelefonen und anderen Optionen zur Information der Bevölkerung in Krisensituationen. Ab Mitte 2025 werden neue Gerätegenerationen von DAB+ Radios den ASA-Standard unterstützen und in Elektromärkten verfügbar sein. On the nationwide warning day, functions of the new warning system via DAB+ radio, “Automatic Safety Alert (ASA)”, were successfully tested for the first time with pre-series devices from the TechniSat and Kenwood brands. In particular, regionalization, waking up from device standby and switching while the radio was running worked perfectly. DAB+ Radio is thus positioning itself as an optimal addition to the warning mix, alongside cell broadcast on mobile phones and other options for informing the population in crisis situations.
